Wow! Ned and Ashley are Swingers! In Yoga class she always looks so normal. I mean, she never dresses sexy like or anything. Now, our instructor...she looks like she could be into some...interesting....behavior. Ashley and I go for fro-yo after class all the time and talk about her. It's fun! But she's a really good instructor so... I wonder if Ash will still want yogurt time with me now that I know her secret. I mean I still want to be her friend, but will she want to be mine? People are funny about that stuff.
I loved the Role Swapping exercise. It made me want to be part of the meeting too, instead of just running the camera. I tried to get Mike to play it with me...not because we need it...just for fun, like a game. But he said no. So I tried to play it by myself. That didn't really work out very well. But when I was pretending to be Mike, it got me thinking. What if we really could swap places with the people we don't understand?
Poor Anna. I know she thinks no one took her meeting seriously.... because of all the drinking and stuff. But I really think those books are going to help some people. You never know where the answer to your problems may come from. I knew a lady once who swore she got the answer to every life question she ever asked out of the Newspaper! Seriously! She was a little crazy, but still! You never know where the answer lies if you just have the guts to ask the question.
So the closet was pretty messed up after last weeks meeting. How did Terry and Gerry break that shelf in half...Mike was not happy about that. Anna invited me to lunch, I thought it was just for fun, but it turns out she just wanted to talk about the meetings. She thinks they are really out of hand. I told her... "Anna, it's your meeting this week. Take control!" So, I bet Anna gets into some really serious issues tonight. She's read like every Self Help book at the Book Emporium Super Store. They have good discounts.
So, every single person in group has called me this week to complain about Eric being the next group leader. They think the hat system isn't working. They also think Eric is going to make them do something embarrassing...or something that could get them arrested.... But are they afraid of Eric or of where the next meeting might lead?
I spent a lot of time on the phone with Jenny this week. She really blindsided Kenny with her big announcement. Has she REALLY considered leaving Kenny? She says yes. And he NEVER saw it coming? He says no. Is it possible to live with someone and not know what they're thinking?
Hi! My name is Emily. I am a shoe model living in New York City. Oh, I'm also married. That's important. Recenty, I nursed my sister through her third divorce. It's not what you think. She's not crazy, or a train wreck. It's just...when the going gets tough...she has no idea what to do. And Michael (that's my husband) was like "Why does she always have to come to us? Why can't she just go to therapy?" Well, not everyone can afford therapy. Right? Especially these days. So I decided to do something about it.
